Jon Stewart, best known for his time as host of The Daily Show, will once again take the stage to host next month’s annual Night of Too Many Stars autism benefit in New York City. The event, which brings together some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment, will feature performances from Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Amy Schumer, and many more, all coming together for a great cause.
See below for the complete lineup so far.
The highly anticipated comedy concert and charity auction supports Next for Autism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing innovative services that enhance the lives of individuals with autism. The event will take place on Monday, March 31, at New York’s iconic Beacon Theatre, a venue known for hosting some of the most memorable performances in entertainment history.
In addition to Rock, Sandler, and Schumer, this year’s Night of Too Many Stars will feature an impressive lineup of comedy heavyweights, including The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng, stand-up sensation Alex Edelman, the legendary Susie Essman, and the ever-hilarious Jim Gaffigan. Fans can also look forward to performances from Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Jeff Garlin, the brilliant impressionist James Austin Johnson, and rising star Sam Morril. Comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy and Saturday Night Live’s Sarah Sherman will also take the stage, along with musical entertainment from Max Weinberg’s Jukebox. With additional performers yet to be announced, the night promises plenty of surprises.
Beyond the laughter, the event carries a meaningful mission. The funds raised through Night of Too Many Stars go toward critical initiatives that improve the lives of autistic individuals, focusing on areas such as employment opportunities, independent living, and social engagement. Over the past two decades, Next for Autism has distributed grants to more than 170 organizations across 37 states and territories, helping to fund over 380 innovative projects. These efforts have been made possible thanks to the generous contributions of sponsors, donors, and event attendees who continue to support the cause.
The idea for Night of Too Many Stars was born from a deeply personal place. The event was created by longtime Saturday Night Live and Conan O’Brien writer/producer Robert Smigel and his wife, Michelle Smigel, who serves as a board co-chair. The couple, who faced challenges in securing adequate educational resources for their autistic son, Daniel, wanted to help other families experiencing similar struggles. Since its inception, the event has grown into a nationally recognized fundraiser, bringing together the entertainment community to make a tangible difference.
“We created Night of Too Many Stars with our friends in the comedy world at a time when most organizations focused only on research for a cure,” said Michelle and Robert Smigel in a statement. “Seeing so many parents struggle to find appropriate services and schools for their children inspired us to create an event to support the vital programs and services that individuals with autism need right now.”
As in past years, audiences can expect a night filled with side-splitting comedy, heartfelt moments, and one-of-a-kind auction experiences. In previous editions, celebrity guests have offered unique prizes, such as walk-on roles in hit TV shows, exclusive backstage passes, and even the chance to have a comedian personally roast a lucky bidder’s friend or family member. The tradition of blending entertainment with philanthropy has made Night of Too Many Stars one of the most impactful and entertaining charity events in the country.
Those eager to attend can purchase tickets via Ticketmaster or in person at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and the Beacon Theatre box offices. Given the star-studded lineup and the event’s history of selling out, securing a seat early is highly recommended.
For those unable to attend in person, there are still ways to support Next for Autism. Donations can be made directly through the organization’s website, and many past performances and behind-the-scenes moments from Night of Too Many Stars are available to watch online. By contributing, supporters help ensure that autistic individuals have access to the resources and programs they need to lead fulfilling lives.
With laughter, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the autism community, Night of Too Many Stars continues to make a lasting impact, proving that comedy truly has the power to change lives.
